The Azienda Agricola Barattieri is one of the oldest in Emilia Romagna producing excellent quality wines.
Our ancient link with the "Piacentino" territory and its traditions are the foundation for our skilful work of selected types of grapes.
Our great wines are produced from ancient and new vines, expressing with elegance the territory's character. Our vineyards are cultivated over an area of 35 hectares of south facing hillside. We harvest our grapes manually, and only select the best grapes from our vines.
Our VinSanto has won several awards and is appreciated throughout Italy.
It is certainly the most laborious wine we make; in fact it takes nine years of maturation and the knowledge of specific ancient procedures before we can bottle it.
We are proud to say that we take care of all the procedures involved; from the cultivation of the vines to harvesting, wine making, bottling and marketing.
The Azienda Barattieri is also a perfect venue for exclusive events.
In the magnificent villa, built around 1704, splendid rooms, a loggia and its portico look into a manicured garden.
We cater for our guests and periodically organise wine tasting events.
Guided tours around the Azienda are also available, and they are an excellent opportunity to become acquainted with traditional methods of excellent wine making.
